The Lea Springs Clown Ministry, known as “The Heaven Bound Jesters”, was organized by its Director in 1982 while she was in membership with a sister Baptist Church. The seeds were sown in the hearts of our membership when that sister clown ministry group came and ministered to us on several occasions.
Unknown at that time that the clown ministry’s Director would some day join our membership, she was later encouraged by us at Lea Springs to continue on with her heart’s desires to serve the Lord in this manner.
Through out the years, “The Heaven Bound Jesters” clown ministry, a useful tool to get God’s Word out, has been well received not only in our own church environment, but also in “local” nursing homes, hospitals, and community special happenings, shopping centers, libraries, campsites, shut-in institutions, fellow sister churches, sport events, and individual homes.
It is with great joy and humbleness that we believe God has opened those doors from time to time for us to be able to tell the people associated in those places how very much He loves them.
The group consists at this time of several youth and adults of all ages which number differently on every occasion according to individual availability for each of these listed programs.
With “Jesus Loves the Little Children” as our ultimate theme song and our own “original” material that we feel is unique for Christian growth, we trust God as our Author and Founder.
